Sosialisasi Program Ekonomi Dalam Upaya Peningkatan Usaha Ekonomi Produktif Pada Masyarakat Desa Tanjung Harapan Kecamatan Pangkatan Labuhanbatu

Abstract

The economic gap between urban and rural areas is still a serious challenge in development in Indonesia. One of the efforts made by the government is through the productive economic Business Program (UEP) which aims to increase the economic capacity of the community based on local potential. However, limited access to information and low economic literacy cause many of these programs are not optimally absorbed by the village community. This community service activity aims to socialize productive economic programs and provide basic education about business management to the people of Tanjung Harapan Village, Pangkatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The method of implementation is carried out in a participatory manner through lectures, group discussions, case studies, and simple simulations. The results showed that participants gained a new understanding of business management, financial records, and marketing strategies. This activity also arouses the collaborative spirit of the community to form a joint business network. These findings reinforce the importance of academics ' role as facilitators of information and empowerment in local economic development. Thus, the socialization of the productive economy program proved effective in building the foundation of sustainable village community entrepreneurship.
